Yahoo recently featured the GMC Motorhome in “Road Trip! 7 Awesome RVs,” a post on their autos page. The article describes the unique GMC Motorhome as being as comfortable to drive as it is sleep in. An Excerpt from the article:
“Between the years of 1973 and 1978, GMC produced the only RV every completely designed and built by an auto manufacturer, and they were awesome. Unlike most RVs that are comfy houses built on solid truck chassis, the line of GMC motorhomes were built to be as enjoyable to drive as they were to sleep in. They sat on a unique chassis, and were powered by the 455-cu.in. V-8 and front-wheel drive setup from an Oldsmobile Toronado. Forty years later, when you see one on the road, it’s still unmistakable. This is what the future looked like in 1973.”
