1. Golden Pines RV & Campground

Golden Pines RV & Campground is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Arnold, California. If you want to get away from people while enjoying the outdoors, this is a park you’ll want to consider. There are plenty of activities that you can enjoy in the area such as fishing, hunting, paddling, spelunking, mountain biking and wine tasting. Or, you can stay at your site and enjoy being out in nature and the quiet surroundings. In town you’ll find the basic stores and a few restaurants to choose from.

While the pool is closed for the season due to COVID-19, the outdoors is wide open and ready for you to enjoy.

2. Crowley Lake RV Park

If you love lake life and want to get away from it all and do some fishing, Crowley Lake RV Park is calling your name. It’s a great place to enjoy water activities like waterskiing, wakeboarding, kayaking and sailing. And it puts you within reach of great fishing locations. If you’re not into the water sports, you can enjoy bird watching or just relaxing in the great outdoors. The park also makes a great base camp for plenty of hiking options in the area.

3. Waiiaka RV Park

Located in Yreka, CA, the Waiiaka RV Park is a great place to get away while still having access to stores like Walmart to make sure you have everything you need. The park has been hard at work in recent years making sure they’re updated with everything that RVers need and want including a WiFi system with fast service throughout the park.

There is plenty of the outdoors to discover and explore as the park is located between Mt Shasta California and Mt. Ashland Oregon. You can hike, fish and boat in the area. The camp is also setup with pull through sites making it easy to set up camp and start enjoying your time.

4. 49er RV Ranch

If history is up your alley then you’ll love 49er RV Ranch located in Columbia, CA. Right in the foothills of the Sierra history abounds. You can use this RV park as home base while you explore a preserved living gold rush tow, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park and the scenic views that encompass it all.

There’s also options for hiking, fishing, golf, wineries, and casinos nearby.

5. Humboldt County Fairgrounds RV Park

Come explore California forgotten coast and beautiful Victorian Village of Ferndale, CA while staying at Humboldt County Fairgrounds RV Park. This is a first come, first serve RV park but they provide water and electrical hook-ups. You’ll feel like you stepped back in time while enjoying the small town charm of Ferndale while only being a 10-minute drive from an oceanside county park.

While this RV park may not have all the bells and whistles of some of the others, it provides you with access to many options to enjoy from beach, to historical village, to hiking and other outdoor activities.
