In 1964 Shirley Ellis came out with a song called “The Name Game”. It’s a song where you create a bunch of variations to a name. Over 50% of RVers play a different version of “The Name Game” in the way of Naming their RV!
If you look around the RV Park you’ll notice the names of each RV on the outside. Die hard RVers will tell you it’s the name they’ve given that unit that counts. People take pride in their RV Names! Take some time and brainstorm on the “perfect” name for your RV after reviewing our ideas of common RV Names.
Strong Meaning
There might be a moment, event, or person who has greatly affected your life. Examples:
– “The Rescuer” for an RV couple who traveled on the migratory path of birds, they would capture injured birds, even perform surgeries on the birds in their RV and then release them back into the wild.
– “Gone Girl” a solo female RVer was fed up with the corporate life and said “I’m Gone”. She retired and hit the road in the “Gone Girl”.
– “The Healer” a couple who was ill and wanted to see the beauty of this country while taking care of their health.
Puns are Great
Puns are a great way to bring humor into an RV Name. Examples:
– “The Cramalot Inn” was a family that ran a little tight on storage for all the stuff they brought with
– “Gone Girl” a solo female RVer was fed up with the corporate life and said “I’m Gone”. She retired and hit the road in the “Gone Girl”.
– “Appeal” this was someone who loved bananas (A Peal).
Irony
Sometimes doing the opposite can be amuzing. Examples:
– “Tiny” for a unit over 40 ft
– “Hairy” for the name of an RV of a Bald Man
Stock
Let’s face it, many stock RV Names are NOT GOOD! However there are some that are so fantastic, you won’t need to come up with a new name. Examples:
– “Cross Country”
– “Pursuit”
– “Ace”
