Have you named your RV yet? If you haven’t you may want to make it a priority. Over 50% of RVers say they’ve named their RV. It brings some great pride to ride around in their nicknamed home on wheels. But it also has some practical value as well. It might not be very efficient for conversation to say “let’s head back to the Heartland Road Warrior 425” compared to saying “let’s head back to Earl”.
If you’re having a tough time coming up with names here’s a list of ideas you may want to keep in mind. Try brainstorming by writing down every name that comes to mind for five minutes and then sifting through the results to narrow it down to the lucky winner.
Sentimental
You might have a personal connection to your travels that you want to utilize with your RV name. Maybe you are yampers, weekend warriors use it for kayaking trips etc. If something touches your heart with the reason you travel it might be a great idea to use it for a name.
Being Punny Can Be Funny
I’ve heard someone call their RV the “Cramalot Inn”. Puns can be a great way to keep light humor of your RV name.
Irony
I once saw a big German Shepard named “Tiny”, a Pomeranian named “Bear”, and a bald guys nickname was “Hairy”. Sometimes opposites are great for RVs because they could be quirky and make people laugh.
Consider the Make/Model
This might be a good idea to name your RV after. Maybe you’ve been brand loyal for years or you think the name is catchy. Some RVs are made with great outdoorsy names. We knew someone who had a Class C Sunseeker that named their RV the “Sun Seeker”. Maybe you’re a “Road Warrior”.
