5 RVing Women to Follow as a Solo Female RVer

The RVing experience is for everyone. You don’t have to wait until retirement. You don’t need to wait until you have a family or until your kids leave home, or anything else. In the last several years there has been a trend for younger generations to adopt the RV lifestyle. They’re choosing to work as digital nomads so they can see the country and have an adventure as they go.

While female solo travelers tend to make up a smaller percentage of RVers, it’s on the rise. Women of all ages are choosing to live a life of no regrets. Their living lives as examples for other women to show them they can do it too. They are tackling RV maintenance, repairs, and life on the road.

If you’re a woman traveling alone or thinking about joining the RV community, here are some inspirational women to follow:

1. Geogypsy Traveler

If you want to follow an inspirational female RVer, you want to follow Gaelyn at Geogypsy Traveler. She has a wealth of knowledge from traveling solo for more than 40 years. Along with that, she has been a full-time RVer for at least 30 years. She spent summers working as a Park Ranger in different National Parks. She’s currently exploring what retirement will look like and has her home base set up in Arizona right now.

You can explore her blog based on locations she’s been and parks she’s worked in. In addition to her blogs though, she takes stunning photographs.

2. Sisters on the Fly

Sisters on the Fly isn’t so much a woman to follow as it is a membership to join. Sisters on the Fly is a ” safe and supportive social structure and culture for women of all walks of life to come together, enjoy each other’s company and enjoy the great outdoors.”

This also isn’t really an RVing resource, but it’s a great way that female RVers can connect with others across the country. If you’re a full-time solo traveler, it provides you with a community you can join for events as you move from place to place. The events are for members only and females only, except on occasion when they welcome men or children.

They do everything from short events for a few hours to week-long trips with each other.

3. Story Chasing

Amber from Story Chasing is another exciting female solo RVer you need to follow. She has been full-time RVing for 4+ years and travels with her dog. She was working a crazy busy life in her corporate career and finally decided to live a life with no regrets. She quit her job to become an entrepreneur and headed out to have an adventure.

Amber posts videos twice a week on her YouTube channel. They are real and authentic and cover both the good times and the challenging ones about van life.

4. Pippi Peterson

Pippi Peterson is a full-time RVer on hold and is also the woman behind Pinppenings. She travels in a 1992 RV that she bought and renovated. Her YouTube channel is full of information on RVing, RV maintenance and renovations, and off-grid solar living.

She is currently in the process of flipping real estate while she renovates and repairs her RV after spending several years on the road full-time. But while she might not be full-time RVing right now, she is still taking trips and sharing videos for RVers.

If you’re thinking about becoming a full-time RVer but have some reservations, Pippi is just the inspiration you need to take the leap. She shows how incredible life in an RV can be.

5. Creative RV

Robin at Creative RV has over 200k following her on her YouTube channel. She’s not a solo traveler, but she’s definitely a woman worth following. Her blog and channel are full of helpful tips and tricks for people who want to pursue life on the road. She’s currently taking a break from posting new videos, as she addresses some health challenges, but there is a ton of great content up for you to explore.

Robin calls herself a modern-day nomad. She covers everything from finding the life you want to RVing hacks. She also interviews other nomads so you can get a feel for what life on the road looks like.
