Summer is here and families are struggling to balance compliance with social distancing laws and the strong need to take a break from what has been a stressful year so far. RVing is the perfect solution that is a win win for everyone.
Let’s be honest, summer isn’t necessarily shaping up to be anything like we’d expected at the start of the year. Chances are pretty good that you’ve had to cancel plans of some sort that you had. But that doesn’t mean you need to throw in the towel and continue sitting at home. Phase fun has begun!
Families are turning to RVs for their summer fun
With there still being so many unknowns out there, many families are turning to RVing as a safe way to get in some fun family travel this summer. One RV brand saw their sales increase by 11% in May. Seeing the writing on the wall, people have been jumping at the chance to go RVing.
When you have an RV, it allows you to feel comfortable while hitting the road.
RVs allow you to social distance
RVers and campers are natural social distancers. There’s plenty of campgrounds with sites large enough to give you room between you and your neighbors. Or, if you really want to create space between your family and others, you can try boondocking. Either way, you have the freedom to travel where you desire and can get away from the crowds.
RVs allow you to have your own space
When you travel in an RV you can bring the comforts of home along with you. And, as long as you have a bathroom in your RV, you don’t need to worry about sharing a space with others. The popular campground company KOA found in a survey that having a private bathroom is an important factor that families are considering right now. Traveling in your RV lets you have your own bathroom to use everywhere you go.
RVs allow you to forget about the hotels
When you aren’t traveling with your sleeping accommodations in tow, you have to carefully plan out where you’re going to be staying. Since different counties and states have different rules regarding COVID right now, this can be a problem. Some hotels might not be open. And the hotels that are may have restrictions that make your stay not quite as pleasant.
When you’re traveling with an RV, you can stay where it’s convenient for you. You can boondock in a Walmart parking lot if you need to. And you can even find free places to stay on private property overnight with the help of Boondockers Welcome. They currently have over 2,400 hosts!
RVs bring you back to normal
If you’re tired of hearing phrases like “the new normal” than jump in an RV and head out on the road. As your family travels, you can be reminded of what life felt like before the pandemic began. You don’t have to debate mask or no mask in your RV. And there’s plenty of places where you can travel to where you won’t have to be constantly reminded of the stress and anxiety of the past several months.
The only thing you need to get started is an RV
If you don’t currently own an RV, you have two options. You can rent an RV or purchase one. Renting can give you a taste of RVing but many RV rental companies are filling up fast this summer. You may have a hard time finding one or you may find that you’re not as comfortable staying in an RV that another family was just in.
Sky River RV is here to help make Phase Fun even better! You can purchase an RV and enjoy your summer vacations while taking advantage of no payments for 60 days. Get started today by shopping our complete inventory.
