Central Coast Holiday Events you don’t want to miss!

The holiday season is full of fun events to participate in. It’s the perfect time to head out in your RV with family or friends to take part in the festivities. The central coast of California is loaded with fun, festive, classic, and unique events to participate in. Below are 5 events that you don’t want to miss:

1. Holidays at Madonna Inn

2. Winterfest at Morro Bay

It’s not too late to check out the 12 days of Christmas at Morro Bay. If you aren’t local to the area it’s a great time of year to come in and check it out for an extended stay. You can stop in to see Santa himself until December 12th, but there are lots of other activities as well.

December 8th you can take part in a Santa Crawl! Head out for an adult scavenger hunt where you can enjoy a winery tasting station at each stop.

December 9th takes a turn in a different direction and you can watch a battle of tall ships. The Hawaiian Cheiftain will face off against the Lady Washington in a pirate style re-enactment.

December 9th brings a Gingerbread House competition. You can register to take part in the event and show off your gingerbread baking and building skills or you can simply checkout the designs.

December 10th gives you and the family to play in real snow. If you want to enjoy a white Christmas in a warm setting, this is the place for you.

3. Cambria Christmas Market

Come and enjoy in the history of the Christmas Market in Cambria. You can stroll along streets that are beautifully lined with Christmas lights and artisan vendors. Enjoy over two-million lights and live entertainment. There is traditional German foods and drinks like Gluhwein. This will be unlike any other Christmas celebration that you participate in this year.

 

4. Monterey Christmas Dinners

5. The Nutcracker

What would the holidays be without seeing the classic ballet, The Nutcracker. The Granada Theatre is having showings on December 9th and 10th. This performance is a collaboration between State Street Ballet, Gustafson Dance students, and the Opera San Luis Obispo Grand Orchestra. The beautiful architecture of the building is the perfect setting to enjoy this holiday performance.
