When people travel for the holidays they have a tendency to go light on the Christmas decorations. There thought is why spend time decorating when they won’t be home for Christmas and will just have to take it down when they get home. However, when you travel in an RV all that changes. Not only can you decorate inside your RV, but outside as well. There are many campgrounds that will even host Christmas decoration contests to make it fun for everyone. So, if you will be on the road, or setup at a campground, checkout these 4 festive RVs to get yourself in the holiday spirits!
1. Did you think you couldn’t get a Christmas tree in your RV?
This couple shows you how you can still decorate cute for Christmas even in your RV. Their living space is complete with a Christmas tree, garland, Christmas pillows and wall decorations. They are able to incorporate a lot of decorations without creating a cramped for cluttered space.
2. Celebrate it outside
One of the best things about owning an RV is being able to enjoy the outdoors. If you are stopped somewhere that isn’t experiencing a “white Christmas” you can enjoy your holiday outdoors, including a Christmas tree.
3. Decorate for others to enjoy
Some people decorate their houses in a way that draws a lot of attention from other people. Families spend evenings driving around to check out the lights because of how incredible they are. There’s no reason you can’t do this at your campsite. Don’t be afraid to go all out with your decorations and create a place that everyone can enjoy.
4. Get creative
This RV looks like it should be on a Christmas postcard for the RV life. I love the way it looks like the reindeer are about to fly away pulling the RV along. Not only does it look like Christmas, but it looks cozy. Add a little fire pit with some stockings and you have everything you need for a “traditional” Christmas Eve night.
Some ideas to get you started
Just a few supplies can go a long way when decorating your RV for Christmas and it’s not too late to get what you need:
- A Christmas Tree – You can do real or fake, whichever you prefer.
- Lights – An RV is easier to decorate than an entire house, so grab some lights and get to work.
- Lawn ornaments – This could include the blowup decorations, a simply Christmas flag, or light-up reindeer. Whatever you would put in your house can go on your campsite.
- Stockings – “The stockings were hung by the chimney with care”. It works if you have an electric fireplace in your RV, but if not you can get creative and hang them up somewhere else.
It’s never too early to start planning for next year if you aren’t spending your holiday in your RV this year. And, if you don’t have an RV for this Christmas stop by Sky River RV where we have new and used RVs for sale in California.
