1. Hearst San Simeon State Park

Hearst San Simeon State Park is known for being one of the oldest parks in the California state system. You can enjoy beautiful views of the rocky shoreline and ocean from the coastal bluffs. You can even catch marine mammals such as elephant seals.

The park is also made up of wetlands and forests. And also includes an archeological site that dates back over 5,000 years.

The San Simeon Creek Campground has 115 sites that can be used for RVs or tents. The maximum camper length that the campground can accommodate is 35 feet.

2. Bella Vista by the Sea

Just 20 minutes south of Cambria is Bella Vista by the Sea and it’s an RV park that is worth the mention. The park includes your choice of standard or ocean view sites. There is a scenic overlook where you can take it all in. The park has 30A power, electric, water & sewer hookups. The park is pet-friendly and you can enjoy paved parking and streets.

This is a great place to enjoy a quiet beach getaway. And you’ll only be a short want from Downtown Cayucos.

3.Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA

The Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA offers all the amenities and benefits that RVers have come to expect from KOA locations. There is plenty to keep the kids busy including: pool, jumping pillow, express fun train, large playground, basketball, banana bikes, and climbing coconut palm trees.

The campsites can accommodate RVs up to 90 ft in length.

4. Laguna Seca Recreation Area

While Laguna Seca Recreation Area might not be your traditional RV park, it will be exactly what some people are looking for. The recreation area includes campgrounds, race track, and a rifle and pistol shooting range. The campground also provides opportunities for hiking, biking, and enjoying the outdoors. Some of the sites allow you to get a picturesque view of over the hillsides.

5. Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground

Located near Solvang CA, the Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground is truly a campground you need to experience. While it started as nothing more than a place to stop between other destinations, the area around eventually began to develop, and Flying Flags developed along with it. The resort has been carefully designed to create an unforgettable experience for guests. They even have 8 different kinds of RV sites to choose from. 6. Ocean Mesa RV Park & Campground

Located around 30 minutes away from Solvang CA is Ocean Mesa RV Park & Campground. All the RV sites at the park provide Wi-Fi and full hook-up. You’ll also have a fire pit and picnic table. The sites can accommodate up to 50 ft RVs.

Some of the activities you can enjoy at the park include hiking trails, swimming pool, playground, outdoor movie night, wine tastings, and they even hold the El Capitan Canyon Concert Series for complementary music.

7. Morro Dunes RV Park

There’s no shortage of fun things to do at Morro Dunes RV Park. In the area, you can enjoy everything from sunbathing and surfing to wine tastings. And of course, you can enjoy the nine miles of Atascadero Beach coastline. The area also has the Hearst Castle, Morro Bay Maritine Museum and options for golf.

The park provides both 50 and 30 Amp Service and includes over 130 full hook-up sites with electricity, water, sewer & cable TV.

8. Morro Strand RV Park

Morro Strand RV Park is a beautifully landscaped boutique park. It’s in a great location within walking distance to the beach and Morro Rock. You can also walk to the shopping center located in downtown Morro Bay along with the local restaurants. The area is bike friendly making it even easier to get around and explore.

There are two options for RV parks based on length of the RV. Rigs 30 ft and over are in one area with those smaller than 29 ft being in another. These are back in sites only, which can be helpful to know before showing up.

9. Evergreen RV Park

You’ll find a beautiful and peaceful setting awaiting you at Evergreen RV Park. Each lot is a pleasant mix of grass and gravel. The streets are paved and wide which makes navigation easy. There are 94 sites in the park and all of them are full hookup. One of the best things about this park is the central location with the freeway system nearby, the beaches a few short miles away and walking distance to shops, dining and entertainment.

If you want to head out for the day you can enjoy everything from wine tastings and whale watching to golfing and fine dining.

10. Point Mugu State Park

Point Mugu State Park has two campgrounds—Sycamore Canyon & Thornhill Broome. At the state park, you can enjoy 70 miles of hiking trails along with swimming, body surfing and surf fishing at the beach.

The sites can accommodate RVs up to 31 ft long. And dogs are allowed in the campground, so if you’re bringing along your furry friend they’ll be right at home. It’s a great alternative to California Coast RV Resorts.
